Maximum Hiring Salary: $52,543.44/year
LOCATION: Macon County Health Department 110 Chatham Street, Oglethorpe, GA 31068
DUTIES: Under limited supervision, develops and manages clinical and population based programs of nursing in a county health department. Directs and supervises programmatic activities and clinical staff to ensure provision of effective, efficient and safe nursing care. Collaborates with other health care providers and community agencies to provide clinical and population based services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A current Georgia license to practice as a registered professional nurse AND one of the following: Completion of a Diploma/Associate Degree in Nursing AND three (3) years of professional nursing experience, including two (2) years in a management, supervisory, or leadership role; OR completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing AND two (2) years of nursing experience, including one (1) year in a management, supervisory, or leadership role; OR completion of a Master's Degree in Nursing AND one (1) year of professional nursing experience in a management, supervisory, or leadership role; AND a minimum of one (1) year direct experience in the delivery of women’s health services and coordination of care, this experience must have been acquired within the previous five (5) years. A copy of college transcript is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional experience in public health nursing and completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing.

Volunteer Opportunity - District Clinical Services Prevention Services (Immediate Opening)
The District Clinical Services Prevention Services has an immediate need for a volunteer for 10 -20 hours.
The volunteer will assist the District Clinical Services Prevention Services program with preparations to provide outreach services through the West Central Health District.
Volunteers will assist with:
- Filling out forms
- Packaging small bundles of health products
- Organizing brochures
- Organizing storage area
No special or specific skills are needed.
Volunteers will need to complete HIPAA training (provided) and sign HIPAA agreement and confidentially form prior to starting.
