- West Central Health District County Health Departments Kick off Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Efforts
The Columbus Department of Public Health and the West Central Health District have received shipments of seasonal influenza vaccine for the sixteen counties they serve. “The Center for Disease Control recommends individuals get their flu vaccination as soon as it becomes available. Our vaccine supply has now arrived in all of our county health departments, therefore, we encourage you to see our nurses and get vaccinated.” says Dr. Beverley Townsend, District Health Director.

- Area’s Second Annual Baby Expo Designed to Educate and Entertain New Parents, Parents-to-Be, and Grandparents
Safe Kids Columbus will host the area’s second annual Baby Expo on Saturday, April 21 at the Columbus Civic Center. The Expo will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.; it includes seminars, baby contests, more than 50 local exhibitors, a new “Baby Market Place” and lots of giveaways. Admission is $5, and children 6 or younger get in free. The first 200 paid admissions get a baby bonus bag, complete with valuable coupons and free product samples.
