Public Health Nurse Specialist

Full-Time Unclassified Position
Position open to current and former State employees and all others who meet the qualifications.
Paygrade: 15 District Entry/Hiring Salary: $41,709.12/year

Maximum Hiring Salary: $47,548.32/year

Salary based on experience and degree

LOCATION: Women’s Health, Columbus Health Department

2100 Comer Avenue, 2nd Floor HHS Center, Columbus, GA 31904

DUTIES: Performs comprehensive assessments of client’s healthcare needs. Develops comprehensive plans of care. Provides treatment, administers medications/vaccines. Provides healthcare related services to diverse population. Reviews health data and participates in the analysis of health trends in the communities. May be required to travel to county health departments within the West Central Health District.

QUALIFICATIONS: A current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Georgia. A copy of college transcript is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse.
