About Safe Kids Columbus
Safe Kids Columbus is a coalition dedicated to fighting the number one killer of children; accidental injuries. Every year, accidental injuries account for more deaths and bodily harm than all childhood diseases combined - nationally, 6,600 children die and 120,000 are permanently disabled.
Our coalition is a member of Safe Kids Georgia and one of the more than 600 coalitions and chapters affiliated with Safe Kids Worldwide.
Safe Kids Columbus is a 501c-3 non-profit organization. We are funded through private donations and grants. Safe Kids Columbus has been led by the Columbus Health Department since 1998.
