What We Do
Safe Kids Buckle Up offers every driver who transports children the opportunity:
- To learn how to properly restrain children in age- and weight-appropriate car seats or booster seats
- To learn why all passengers over age 8 should serve as good role models by using safety belts on every ride
- To learn why children under age 13 should be seated in the back seat
How We Get Things Done
The mission of Safe Kids Buckle Up is to ensure that all children are appropriately restrained in vehicles. Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for U.S. children between the ages of 1 and 14. Safe Kids Buckle Up community education occurs in a variety of settings:
Community Education Classes

Option #1 Class Size 15-20
- Request Form 30 days prior education class
- The cost of a class $30.00 per person
- Prior to class need attendance sheet with weight and height of child. The class includes:
- Power Point presentation
- Hand on Exercises,
- Car Seat that fits your child (Convertible, Combination, or Booster)
- Installation Outside in vehicles
- Data Report of the Pre and Post Test
Option #2 Class Size 10-40 participants
Education with No Car Seat Distribution
- Request Form 30 days prior education class
- Cost of the class $10 per person with a minimum of 10 participants
- Appointments will be made for the option of attending the inspection station where the parents will receive the hands on exercise of installing their car seat
- The class includes:
- Power Point presentation
- Hand on Exercises,
- Data Report of the Pre and Post Test
